- PendingT1 Ash Advanced Ash Dieback (ADB) and Recent Structural Failures To tightly pollard all union stems from the first bifurcation joint. T1 is an Ash tree exhibiting advanced symptoms of Ash Dieback together with recent significant bow/limb failures. The tree has developed multiple substantial union stems from the first bifurcation, which are becoming increasingly vulnerable to further failure as the tree?s physiological condition and ability to maintain sound woody tissue decline. It is proposed to tightly pollard all union stems back to the first bifurcation joint. This is considered an appropriate management intervention to retain the tree in situ whilst substantially reducing the extent and weight of the existing crown and, consequently, the loading and potential failure forces acting through the compromised stems and unions. The proposed works would retain the principal stem structure and allow the tree to be maintained as a reduced pollard rather than requiring complete removal at this stage. This provides an opportunity to retain the tree as a living feature within the landscape and to continue to provide ecological and amenity benefits, including habitat potential associated with standing deadwood and future retrenchment. The tree would be subject to ongoing inspection and future management as necessary, recognising that its condition may continue to deteriorate because of Ash Dieback. Should the tree subsequently become incapable of being safely retained, further management or removal could then be considered based on its condition at that time.Barton House Rectory Lane Meonstoke Hampshire SO32 3NFReceived 28 Sept 2026TreesSDNP/26/03745/TCA3.14 km from centreSouth Downs council

- ApprovedNon Material Amendment to original planning consent SDNP/24/02599/FUL - The roof plan shows 6 x flat rooflights on the North facing pitched roof at standard sizes of 600mm x 400m. This application is seeking to amend to insert just 3 roof lights in this roof area but slight bigger to 600mm x 1000mm. A proposed new window to the east side of the pitched roof barn type section of the dwelling to provide light to the kitchen sink and food preparation area. This window will face a 2.6m retaining wall so it is not overlooking anyone and cannot be overlooked itself and cannot be seen any other households. Size will be 1500mm wide by 1000m high. Finally, it is proposed to raise the levels of the 1st bedroom and utility area to the same level as the living areas to provide accessibility single storey living. Bedroom 2 would remain lower and still accessed by descending 2 small steps. Drawings provided show in broken red line the height of the existing dwelling against the outline height of the proposed new elevations along with how this level change also interacts with the living accommodation.Lion Hill House Alton Road West Meon Hampshire GU32 1JFReceived 10 Aug 2026Decided 20 Sept 2026AmendmentSDNP/26/03138/NMA1.82 km from centreSouth Downs council

- ApprovedNone of these trees is protected by a TPO. We have spoken to a local tree surgeon who has recently done some other work at the property. Tree 1. This is large conifer, which is growing out of the drive adjacent to the wall. It is damaging both the drive and the wall and also prevents large delivery vehicles from entering the rest of the drive beyond Corhampton Court. (The rest of the drive gives access to the Old Stables, The Mews, Holly Lodge, The Flat and Corhampton House). We propose to remove it completely including grinding down the stump and repairing the drive. Trees 2, 3 and 5 are also large conifers between the our front lawn and the wall which are damaging the wall. We propose to remove these 3 trees also. Tree 4. Is a large self-sown sycamore tree growing out of our lawn. We propose to remove this completely. Tree 6. Is an old ornamental cherry tree, of which several boughs and the trunk are diseased and endangering the passing traffic on the B3035 and also risk bringing down the telephone cables which run between the higher branches. We propose to remove this completely.Corhampton House Corhampton Lane Corhampton SO32 3NBReceived 19 Jan 2026Decided 21 Apr 2026TreesSDNP/26/00205/TCA3.4 km from centreSouth Downs council

Noise will be kept to a minimum as the camping emphasis is for a Yoga and well-being recreational retreat to get back to nature, enjoy the area, and peace and quiet. Due to the small scale of the campsite both footfall and vehicular access will also be minimal. Lights at night will be solar generated lanterns or torches, so will have little or no impact on the night skies. Toilet waste will be disposed of via an eco-friendly composting toilet, or containersed and removed. General waste will be securely stowed in a bin during stays and all waste will be removed and disposed of from the site thereafter by the landowners. A fire extinguisher, fire blanket and sand bucket will be provided by the landowners for each stay and removed thereafter. There is also access to water via the 500 litre tank which is on site.Land at Westbury Park Coombe Lane East Meon Petersfield HampshireReceived 07 Nov 2025Decided 15 Dec 2025SDNP/25/04543/24BC3.25 km from centreSouth Downs council
